It’s Curtains for Pius!

Saint Pius X High School will be closing at the end of this school year and its theater department is going out with a bang!  They will be performing the recent Broadway hit, Curtains. Fresh off the New York stage, Curtains is a hilarious, musical mystery that features great music, an exciting plot, and a cast full of interesting characters.
When their extremely untalented leading lady, Jessica Cranshaw, drops dead during the curtain call on the opening night of Robin Hood of the Old West, the Colonial Theater in Boston is left with terrible reviews and no star. “Lieutenant Frank Cioffi”, a lone detective and envious fan of theatrical life, is assigned to solve the murder.  He encourages the disheartened cast to go on with the show and Georgia Hendricks, the lyricist, steps into the lead role.  Since everyone in the cast is a suspect for the murder and therefore forbidden to leave the theater, they just might have enough time to pull the show together for one more shot at a good review.  In the midst of the crazy world of show people, it is up to Lieutenant Coiffi to solve the one, then two, then three murders, save the show, and perhaps fall in love…..all without getting killed.
Students involved in the production are:  Shannon Antrim, Jessica Bonasera, Mia Borrelli, Sophia Borrelli (“Niki Harris”), Joe Bruno (“Daryl Grady”), Tyler Costello, Molly Dreher, AJ Ebersole, Lindsay Erndwein, Alyssa Evans (“Janey Harmon”), Kayla Giacalone, GP Harminsky, Heidi Heppler, Mike Kong, Ryan Krulewicz (“Christopher Belling”), Chris LaCava, Morgan Leitold, Nadia Lopez (“Jessica Cranshaw”), Danielle MacMurtrie, Emma Majewski, Alex Maldonado (“Aaron Fox”), Maura Anne McCloskey, Mary Kate Moran, Samantha Moran, Finbarr O’Connor (“Sidney Bernstein”), Shannon O’Connor (Student Director), Olivia Ortwein, Alyssa Reape (“Bambi Bernet”), Kevin Richards, Nicole Scott (Stage Manager), Dana Shirley, Margot Sikorski (“Carmen Bernstein”), Catherine Stoll, Emily Vasas, Pete Wanczyk, Brian Warner (“Bobby Pepper”), Bryan Washko (“Oscar Shapiro”), Colin Weatherbee (“Lieutenant Frank Cioffi”), Alivia Weaver, Maria Weidemoyer (“Georgia Hendricks”), Harry Welsh, and JP Welsh.
Come and join us as we say goodbye to a St. Pius legacy and close the Curtains on the Pius stage for the very last time.
